Russian media have claimed that the city was attacked by unidentified sea drones.
The news was disseminated through Russian Telegram channels. According to reports, the first information about the sounds of explosions emerged around 1 a.m. Local residents stated, “There is shooting and explosions in Myskhako, Novorossiysk, possibly an attack by sea drones”.
It is also reported that shots were fired from a vessel at an aquatic unmanned vehicle. Currently, local authorities have not commented on the situation.
According to information from Russian media, the drones allegedly targeted a so-called “oil beacon” in Novorossiysk. This is a remote system for receiving oil in the sea, located a few kilometers off the coast.
