This was reported in the Kyiv City Council.
Deputy of the Kyiv City Council Dinara Gabibullayeva, together with volunteers, launched an initiative to create a Viburnum Alley in honor of the heroes who died in the battle for Kyiv during the Russian-Ukrainian war.
The initiative was implemented to honor the memory of the dead who defended Ukraine and our capital from the Russian invaders – Kyiv Council noted.
“Since time immemorial, the viburnum has symbolized indomitable spirit for the independence of the native land. That is why we decided to create an alley with viburnum bushes in Kyiv, which will become a symbol of the struggle for the freedom of the Ukrainian people. The first 22 viburnum bushes were planted today on the lower level of Peizazhna (Landscape) Alley, which is a favorite place of Kyiv residents and guests of the city,” Dinara Gabibullayeva said.
By the end of the year, it is planned to plant about 1,000 viburnum bushes in the capital so that future generations will remember their Heroes – she added.
