Due to hostilities in Ukraine, the match will take place in Poland.

On the evening of July 20, the first match of the second qualifying round of the Champions League between Dynamo Kyiv and Turkish Fenerbahce will take place in Lodz, Poland.

The match starts at 21:00 Kyiv time.

Analysts could not identify a favorite and assessed the chances of the teams as practically equal. Bets on the victory of “Dynamo” are accepted with a coefficient of 2.60. A draw is priced at 3.25. And the indicators for the success of “Fenerbahce” reach the level of 2.70.

The meeting was entrusted to a team of referees from Sweden, headed by Glenn Nyberg. He will be assisted by linesmen Mahbod Beigi and Andreas Soderqvist.

Dynamo Kyiv head coach Mircea Lucescu, talked about the difficulties the team faced in preparing for the match:

We did not have a permanent base, on the contrary – we travelled around Europe as part of a charity tour. It was very important, because in this way we could rally the refugees from Ukraine so that they could feel like part of the family in the stands of the stadiums. I can only thank my players who played for Ukraine. We also tried to give equivalent practice to the players in these matches so that they would come to the matches with Fenerbahce in good condition. It was not easy, because many guys played for the national teams until June 15th. They needed a rest, after which they joined us for a training camp.” – Meister said at the pre-match press conference.

The return match is scheduled to take place on July 29 in Istanbul.

Note that the teams have played each other four times in the Champions League. In these meetings, “Dynamo” won twice in Kyiv (3:1 and 1:0) and drew twice in Istanbul (0:0, 2:2).
