A total of 48 bridge crossings were damaged.

Reconstruction of damaged transport infrastructure facilities continues in Kyiv region. First of all, works are carried out on routes of strategic importance. A total of 48 bridge crossings were damaged in the region due to hostilities, 45 have already been restored. This is stated in the message of the Kyiv Regional Military Administration.

As the head of the Kyiv Regional Military Administration, Oleksiy Kuleba reported, 48 bridges were damaged in the region as a result of hostilities, 24 on state and local highways.

“Currently, traffic has been restored at the places of 45 bridge crossings. Repair work continues on three,” Kuleba commented.

The head of the Kyiv Regional Military Administration noted that we are talking about artificial structures on highways of state importance in the Vyshgorod district:

bridge on highway P-56 Chernihiv – Pakul – “Slavutych” checkpoint – Chornobyl near the city of Pripyat across the Pripyat River;

bridge on highway R-02 Kyiv – Ivankiv – Ovruch near the village of Poliske across the Uzh River;

bridge on motorway R-02 Kyiv – Ivankiv – Ovruch near the villages of Poliske across the Hrezlya River.

For the safe passage of vehicles, temporary crossings were arranged on the sections of the roads passing through the bridges. Reinforced concrete, pontoon or wood-metal crossings are still functioning. Road workers carry out regular inspections.
