On Sunday, August 7, a lecture on the causes, consequences, and treatment of PTSD (post-traumatic stress disorder) will be held in Kyiv. This was reported by the press service of the “March of Freedom” movement.
The event will be held in the Khvylovy bar with speakers: scientist and professor Viktor Dosenko and psychotherapist Dmytro Assonov.
A small musical program is also planned.
“PTSD is a serious mental illness that is a consequence of the war, which Ukrainians will have to face in the future. Despite the common perception, PTSD affects not only military personnel, but also civilians, every Ukrainian who witnessed and became victims of the war. According to the estimates of the Ministry of Health, about 15 million Ukrainians might require psychological support, and 3-4 million will need to be prescribed drug treatment,” the announcement reads.
The entrance is free, at the entrance everyone can make a donation to support the Armed Forces.
