A total of 100,000 food parcels have been prepared in the capital.

The capital’s social services, with the support of the Kyiv Humanitarian Headquarters, provided 2,400 food parcels from the Red Cross Society of Ukraine to families with many children in the capital. This was announced by the Deputy Chairman of the Kyiv City State Administration Valentyn Mondryivskyi.

“Since the beginning of the full-scale military aggression, the Kyiv humanitarian headquarters has focused on the function of providing the city with everything necessary in the case of a blockade – for 30 days per 2 million people. Today, we can confidently say that the capital has such a reserve. But in addition to this, cooperation with international partners became an important function of the Humanitarian Headquarters. One of the recent examples of such successful cooperation is the help of the Red Cross Society of Ukraine, which handed over 40 tons of long-term food storage items to the capital’s social services. The capital’s large families have already received this help,” Mondryivskyi emphasized.

In addition, the deputy head of the Kyiv City State Administration reminded that another 100,000 food parcels have been prepared in the capital for internally displaced persons (IDPs) who have moved to the capital from regions where active hostilities are taking place. To receive a food parcel, registration is available at one of the district centers for the provision of administrative serveces or their branches.
