This is already the third Vcentri HUB in Kyiv.
This was reported by the Kyiv City State Administration.
The message noted that the third Vcentri HUB public space was opened in the Holosiivskyi district. It is a platform for effective communication between the authorities, the community, non-governmental organizations, and socially responsible businesses.
“It is very important that we open a new hub during the war. Despite all the difficulties, we were able to find patrons who helped us to launch the Vcentri HUB in the Holosiivskyi district. By the way, our hubs in the Shevchenkivskyi and Obolonskyi districts showed their effectiveness during the war – they became the place where volunteers could organize humanitarian assistance for war victims. And today, they hold various events aimed at supporting displaced people.
The opening of the new hub means that the city continues to develop despite the war, and the public is ready to continue to participate in its development,” Maryna Honda, deputy head of the Kyiv City State Administration said.
She added that the total area of Vcentri HUB in Holosiivskyi district is almost 215 square meters and it will be able to accommodate about 70 people. The room is conditionally divided into several zones: the main lobby, a separate children’s room, a co-working area and a conference room.
“Practically no one believed in the first such resource-methodical center for supporting society activity. But the Shevchenkivskyi and Obolonskyi hubs have proven their necessity and effectiveness. In two years, 1,183 events were held there, 80% of which were initiated by representatives of civil society institutions. There are almost 18,000 visitors. This is the clearest indicator of the relevance of hubs. I am very glad that now the Holosiivskiy community will be able to use the functionality of the hub,” Roman Lelyuk, Director of the Department of Public Communications of the Kyiv City State Administration said.
All of Vcentri HUBs also have a room for councils of the districts where the hubs operate. The representatives of the student self-government of the district received a communication game developed by the Department of Public Communications, which allows them to master different participation tools.
