Sanitary pruning of dead and emergency branches has been completed.

The examination of trees was carried out with the help of a computed tomography, an arbotom. Thanks to the arbotom, specialists discovered damage to the trunks inside, which made it possible to complete the stages of treatment.
“Employees of the Utility Company for the Maitenance of green spaces of the Shevchenkivsky district carried out sanitary pruning of dry and emergency branches. The next stage was the removal of tinder fungus from the trees, the cleaning of hollows from rotten and diseased wood, and the installation of drainage. The tree wounds were treated with a fungicide that inhibits growth of pathogenic bacteria. Thanks to the installed plant protective nets, rubbish, leaves, and other objects will not get into the hollow”, The “Kyivzelenbud” said.
On July 21, an examination of 5-year-old oaks was carried out in the eastern part of the park “Nyvky”. Three trees were affected by root rot. According to the results of the examination, methods and stages of treatment were determined.
