On August 28, a charity running event was held in Irpin to draw attention to the restoration of the city and to raise funds for the urgent reconstruction of damaged buildings.

The open run event took place within the framework of the charity RECOVERY RUN 2022 ONLINE: Irpin Stage. The organizers were Run Ukraine together with the Run in Irpin running club from Irpin.
In the message, it was noted that during the three previous stages of the series of RECOVERY RUNS, 248,344 UAH were raised, which have already been transferred to the volunteer construction battalion Dobrobat for the restoration of Buchansky District, Chernihiv region, and Kharkiv Rrgion.
“The 4th stage of the series is now underway, where we run and raise funds for the restoration of Irpin. Today’s run is extremely important, because this is how we additionally raise the issue of rebuilding the city as soon as possible, and show that thanks to running, everyone can join the common great cause – the rebuilding of Ukraine,” Run Ukraine said.
The participants of the run covered the chosen distance of 8 km or 19 km along the route that ran through the city in order to see the terrible consequences of the war and at the same time feel the indomitable spirit of the Ukrainian land, which, despite everything, continues to live.
