Occupiers launch attacks on corridor for IAEA mission to Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant – Adviser at the President’s Office

Mykhailo Podoliak, the Advisor to the Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, has reported that the occupiers are deliberately launching attacks on the corridor, which IAEA has to use to get to the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant (ZNPP).

Quote: “This is predictable. Russia is deliberately launching attacks on the corridors that IAEA is supposed to use to get to the ZNPP. Everything is being done to suggest moving through Crimea/temporarily occupied areas of Donetsk and Luhansk Oblasts”.

Details: Podoliak emphasised that the Ukrainian position does not change; access to the ZNPP can only be gained through Ukraine-controlled territory. The requirements have not changed either: the Russian troops must withdraw from the plant, and it is necessary to make sure that only Ukrainian staff are present there.
