The Kyiv City Council plans to take back the land plot from the Russian embassy located at 27 Povitroflotskyi Avenue in the Solomianskyi district of the capital city.

This was stated by Liliya Pashynna, a deputy of the Kyiv City Council from the “Servant of the People” faction.

“Our faction has initiated the termination of the lease agreement for the land provided to the Russian embassy, and will initiate the nationalization of the Russian embassy premises”, she said.

The deputy reminded that such a decision was caused by the statement of the Ukrainian Ministry of Foreign Affairs on the termination of diplomatic relations with Russia, as well as the full-scale invasion of Ukraine by Russia.

It should be noted that at the beginning of the full-scale invasion, Ukraine severed diplomatic relations with Russia. Later, Ukraine also terminated diplomatic relations with Syria and North Korea due to their recognition of the independence of the terrorist organizations “DNR” and “LNR”.
