In the short term, the Ukrainian Armed Forces will be able to push the enemy to a safe distance from Bachmut, Donetsk region.
This was stated by Yuriy Fedorenko, a deputy of the Kyiv City Council, advisor to the Defense Committee of the Verkhovna Rada, and commander of the “ACHILLES” platoon, 91st Separate Mechanized Brigade.
“I believe that in the short term, we will be able to loosen the grip and push the enemy to a safe distance”, Fedorenko said.
“The enemy was successful on the Bakhmut direction. The enemy managed to reach communication routes and occupy the private sector on the outskirts of Bakhmut. The number of enemy forces and resources outweighed the available personnel of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. But today alone, there were 30 assault actions. The situation was stabilized by the Ukrainian Armed Forces. The main communication routes, including the road to Chasiv Yar, were cleared of the enemy and secured. It’s not just the defense of the approaches to Bachmut, but also a counterattack against the enemy’s onslaught, and simultaneously, offensive assault actions are being carried out. The battles continue around the clock”, the military explained.
