According to available information, in June of this year, Russia plans to begin serial production of strategic air-launched cruise missiles of the X-50 type, which will allow the Kremlin to intensify missile strikes on the territory of Ukraine in the fall.
Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksiy Hromov, made this statement during a briefing.
He stated that since February 2022, Russia has spent at least 50% of its stock of long-range surface-to-air missiles. During this time, the occupiers used at least 8,000 such missiles, mostly of the “land-to-land” class.
Hromov added that at the current level of production, Russia will not be able to replenish its reserve in the medium term. This could threaten Russia’s ability to defend its strategic interests in the Far East and on the borders with NATO countries.
The last mass shelling of Kyiv took place on the night of March 9, when Russian occupiers launched Iranian drones, cruise missiles, and, according to preliminary data, the “Kinjal” ballistic missile.
