There are still children remaining in Bakhmut, Donetsk region.
This was stated by Vice Prime Minister and Minister for Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories, Iryna Vereshchuk.
She made the statement during a national telethon, stating that it is becoming increasingly difficult to reach them due to the actions of the enemy.
Vereshchuk noted that the government is doing everything possible to ensure that there are as few children, women, and elderly people as possible in the villages surrounding the city.
It is worth recalling that compulsory evacuation of children has been announced in 21 settlements in Donetsk Oblast. Five police evacuation crews known as the “White Angels” are working in the region to safely transport children in armored vehicles.
Meanwhile, the occupiers are deporting children from the occupied and front-line territories. It is reported that more than 100,000 Ukrainian children have been taken to Russia.
