The occupying administration understands that there will be a mass sale of property on the peninsula and is complicating the process to reduce the number of transactions and dispel the notion of "panic moods" in Crimea.

Deputy Permanent Representative of the President of Ukraine in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, Denis Chystykov, shared this information on the “Kyiv” TV channel.

“As the military and political leadership of the country and the military leadership note, the ‘cotton’ will be very hot this summer. It should be noted that Russians are refusing to vacation during the May holidays. For them, it has become clear that active military actions are being and will be carried out on the temporarily occupied territory of Crimea in the near future. After the explosions and ‘cotton’ in Sevastopol, tickets started to be returned actively, even this category of citizens abandoned their intentions. The occupying administration understands that there will be a mass sale of property, and now, to cover the shortage of mobilized reserves, they are proposing to approve all deals with the military enlistment office to complicate the sales process, reduce the number of transactions, and dispel the notion of property sales in Crimea”, he explained.

As previously reported, the head of the press center of the “South” Operation Natalia Humenyuk announced a new “cotton” season in Crimea. Russian propagandists use the word “hlopok” (clap) instead of “explosion”  to downplay the significance of such events, a word which also means cotton. This has led to the creation of a meme during the Russian-Ukrainian war – the cotton means explosion.
