Russian forces shelled the regional center and villages in the Bilozerska community of Kherson region. Seven civilians have been reported injured, and the number of casualties is being clarified.
This was reported by Kherson regional prosecutor’s office.
“A pre-trial investigation has been initiated into criminal proceedings for violations of the laws and customs of war”, the statement said.
According to the investigation, on May 2, 2023, Russian forces shelled the city of Kherson and several villages in the Bilozerska community. The occupiers reportedly carried out artillery strikes on civilians and carried out airstrikes, causing damage to civilian infrastructure objects, including residential buildings, outbuildings, and vehicles.
Prosecutors are working with investigators to document the crime committed by the Russian army.
