The Russian Armed Forces attacked the Odessa and Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi districts. The fires have been extinguished.
This was reported by the Head of the Joint Coordination Press Center of the Defense Forces of Southern Ukraine, Natalia Humeniuk, in an interview with the “Kyiv” television channel.
“Last night, Odessa was attacked. The enemy hit the Odessa and Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi districts. The recreational area was in its crosshairs, and it is not yet time to rest by the sea. This is a danger zone. The fires, which covered an area of about 10,000 square meters, have been extinguished. In the recreational area, fires covered an area of 120,000 and 40,000 square meters. There is no information about casualties, and we hope it stays that way”, Humeniuk said.
Earlier, the Operational Command “South” reported that the enemy carried out a missile strike on Odessa from strategic aviation planes. The X-22 missiles were directed at the warehouse of one of the food enterprises and the recreational area on the Black Sea coast.
This was also reported by Yuriy Kruk, the head of the Odessa regional military administration.
“Unfortunately, there was a hit by an X-22 missile on a logistics infrastructure object (the warehouse of one of the food enterprises), which is located on the territory of the Odessa district, as a result of which a strong fire broke out”, Kruk said.
