Mikhailo Podoliak, an advisor to the Head of the Office of the President, stated that Ukraine is monitoring the operation of the "Russian Volunteer Corps" in the Belgorod region, but does not have any direct involvement in it.
He wrote about this on his Twitter account.
“The only driving political force in a totalitarian country with tightened screws inevitably becomes a partisan movement with weapons in hand. Ukraine is observing the events in the Belgorod region of Russia with interest and studying the situation, but it is not directly related to it”, Podoliak stated.

He also sarcastically noted that “tanks are sold in any Russian military surplus store, and underground partisan groups are still composed of Russian citizens”.
Earlier, the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine confirmed the raid of the Legion “Freedom of Russia” and the “Russian Volunteer Corps” in the Belgorod region.
The Legion and the Russian Volunteer Corps have claimed to have “liberated” the village of Kozinka, and supposedly, consolidated units have entered the city of Hravyvoron. The Legion also reports the “liberation” of the village of Hora-Podil, located near the village of Kozinka.
It should be reminded that in the evening of May 21, the Russians reported a supposed “attack” on the administrative building in the village of Holovchyno in the Belgorod region. As a result of the impact, the roof of the building caught fire. In addition, the residents of the Russian city of Belgorod are calling on the authorities to provide them with weapons.
