On the night of June 2, during an air raid alarm in Kyiv, explosions were heard and air defense systems were active. The Russians attacked the capital with both drones and cruise missiles.

“The terror of Kyiv by air attacks continues. Fanatical terrorists relentlessly assault the capital. In the past 6 days, the invaders have carried out their 6th air strike on the city! And each time, the enemy changes their weapons. After ballistic missiles, this time the attack was combined – using drones and cruise missiles simultaneously. The missile launches were conducted from strategic bombers Tu-95MS from the Caspian region, presumably using cruise missiles of the type X-101/555”, the statement said.
Preliminarily, the Russians used Iranian suicide drones of the Shahed type. It is reported that over 30 different types of aerial targets were detected and destroyed in the airspace over Kyiv and its vicinity by the air defense forces. As previously reported, on the night of June 1, the Russian Federation shelled Kyiv. Preliminary reports indicate that the attack was carried out using both cruise and ballistic missiles. The air defense systems destroyed all enemy targets.
