The voting results were submitted to the Kyiv City Council for further consideration by the expert committee. Based on expert opinions, councilors of the City Council will decide on name changes.
Voting on the renaming of nearly 300 geographical features or areas, the names of which are related to Russia and its satellite states, lasted from June 15 to 19 in the “Kyiv Digital” (Київ Цифровий) app. All citizens of Ukraine could vote after being verified with Bank ID.
