15 missiles and 21 combat drones were shot down over Ukraine during the night

On the night of June 2nd, the Air Defense Forces destroyed 15 cruise missiles and 21 combat drones.

“At first, the Russian occupiers attacked with Shahed-136/131 kamikaze drones, around 23:00 on the night of June 2nd. They approached from the south, using the terrain and the Dnieper River bed”, they said.

According to the Air Force, around 3:00 am, the X-101/X-555 cruise missiles launched by Tu-95MS strategic bombers from the Caspian Sea were already in Ukrainian airspace.

They approached from the north, targeting Kyiv, maneuvering to deceive the air defense.

“With the forces and means of the Air Force’s air defense, in cooperation with the components of Ukraine’s defense forces, all 15 cruise missiles and 21 combat drones were destroyed!”, the statement said.
