Norway and Denmark will transfer 9,000 artillery shells to Ukraine.
This was announced by the Norwegian Ministry of Defense on Thursday, June 15.
Oslo will provide the shells, while Copenhagen will contribute the charges, fuses, igniters, and detonating cords. In addition, Norway will transfer around 7,000 shells from its own reserves, and Denmark will provide approximately 2,000 shells.
“Artillery ammunition is an urgent need for Ukraine. That is why we have decided to join forces with Denmark for a new donation, so that Ukraine can receive the ammunition as quickly as possible”, said Norwegian Minister of Defense Bjørn Arild Gram.
As previously reported, Japan is in talks to supply artillery shells to the United States to replenish the stocks for the counteroffensive of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
