President Volodymyr Zelensky held a regular meeting at the Headquarters of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief regarding the defense of the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant, the situation at the front, and domestic arms production.
This was reported in the President’s Telegram channel.
“Today, the Headquarters was expanded. Two hours were dedicated to discussing the main challenges. The first one was the defense of the NPP. Reports were presented by Commander of the Armed Forces Olechuk, Minister Klymenko, and Head of the State Border Guard Service Deyneko. We also heard reports from the Director of “Energoatom” Kotin and the Director of Zaporizhzhia NPP Kozyura”, Zelensky noted.
According to him, the situation at the front was also discussed at the Headquarters, with reports presented by Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Valeriy Zaluzhny, as well as commanders Oleksandr Syrsky, Oleksandr Tarnavsky, Eduard Moskalov, and Serhiy Naiev.
“The directive was given to intensify efforts in the North”, the President informed about the Headquarters’ decision.
On July 4, it was reported that the Armed Forces of Ukraine officially informed about a possible provocation being prepared in the near future on the territory of the occupied Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant.
On July 5, the level of cooling water in the stationary reservoir at Zaporizhzhia NPP is normal, at 16.5 meters. This is sufficient to cool the fifth reactor.
