In the morning of August 24th, there were reports of explosions near the settlement of Mayak on the Tarkhankut Peninsula in the temporarily occupied Crimea.

Starting from 5 in the morning, explosions were heard near the settlement of Mayak on the Tarkhankut Peninsula, local sources reported. Furthermore, our sources within Ukrainian intelligence confirmed that there was a battle involving naval vessels and aviation in this area.

It’s worth noting that the village of Mayak houses the base of the 3rd Radio Technical Regiment, part of the Radio Technical Troops of the Russian Aerospace Forces. Additionally, on the Tarkhankut Peninsula, there’s a radar center housing the Sky-M (Nebо-M) radar complex and the Kasta-2E2 radar system. Anti-aircraft defense positions have been prepared along the perimeter.

Andriy Yusov, a representative of the Main Intelligence Directorate (GUR), confirmed information about the Ukrainian military landing within the framework of a special operation in a comment

“The GUR units carried out the landing as part of the special operation, and all tasks have been completed”, he said.

Recalling that on August 23rd, explosions were heard in the western part of the temporarily occupied Crimea. Later, it became known that the Russian S-400 “Triumph” long and medium-range surface-to-air missile system was destroyed near the village of Olenivka on the Tarkhankut Peninsula.
