Before handing over Ukrainian children for adoption, Russia destroys their previous personal data.

This was revealed by the Executive Director of the Ukrainian Helsinki Human Rights Union, Oleksandr Pavlichenko, in an interview with KYIV24.

“The children are put up for adoption – this is the worst option. Then their previous personal data is practically destroyed. It’s even impossible to trace their route of abduction and their transition into Russian citizenship. They have different birth dates, different surnames, and names, which complicates the search process”, he said.

The expert noted that Russia has been committing such crimes since 2014.

Recall that earlier, South Africa officially requested an arrest warrant for Putin, which was issued by the International Criminal Court on March 17, 2023, for the illegal deportation and transfer of Ukrainian children. In addition, the Belarusian Red Cross acknowledged its involvement in the abduction of Ukrainian children.
