On the morning of September 21st, the Ukrainian Air Force successfully intercepted 36 cruise missiles in the skies over Ukraine.
This information is reported by the Ukrainian Air Force.
As a result of coordinated efforts by the Air Force in cooperation with the Air Defense Forces, 36 cruise missiles were destroyed during combat operations.
It is noted that a total of 43 cruise missile launches were detected, originating from 10 strategic aviation aircraft of the Tu-95MS type, located west of Engels. Ukraine was targeted by cruise missiles from the airbase of Kh-101/Kh-555/Kh-55.
The Ukrainian Air Force specified that the missiles were launched in multiple waves. They entered Ukraine’s airspace from various directions, continuously changing their course along the route. The Air Defense Forces utilized anti-aircraft missile units, fighter aircraft, mobile fire support units of the Ukrainian Defense Forces, and other means to repel the attack.
