During a working trip to the Kherson region, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky visited the location of one of the units of the Kherson Border Guard Unit and congratulated the servicemen on the 20th anniversary of the establishment of the Intelligence Directorate of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine.

“The head of state held a meeting regarding the current situation and the conditions of service of Ukrainian border guards in the front-line areas, including in the Kherson region”, the statement said.
The Head of the State Border Guard Service, Serhiy Deineko, briefed the President on the specifics of the work of border guards, their successes, and the problems that require attention. Volodymyr Zelensky congratulated the border guard intelligence officers on their professional holiday.
“You do a tremendous job, you serve with strength. For 20 years, almost 10 of which have been a war against the occupier. I want to thank you for your service to Ukraine and its people”, he said.
Those present observed a minute of silence to honor all the soldiers of Ukraine’s defense and security forces who lost their lives in the war against Russian occupiers.
