Ukraine's Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dmytro Kuleba, assured that Ukraine is not engaged in any "closed-door" negotiations with Russia.

Dmytro Kuleba made this statement in an interview on the morning program of the ZDF channel.

When asked by the host whether Ukraine is conducting secret talks with the Russian Federation, Kuleba responded with a firm “no”. He emphasized that the basis for peace is respect for Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.

“To put it in plain language, it means that Russia should leave Ukraine. Until this happens, until they are ready to do so, there is no point in holding any negotiations”, he said.

It is worth noting that President Volodymyr Zelensky and other government representatives have repeatedly stated that Ukraine will not return to the negotiation table until Moscow withdraws its troops.

In October, military expert and retired Colonel of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Serhiy Hrabsky, stated that negotiations with Russia at this stage of the conflict would be a defeat for Ukraine. Currently, negotiations in such a format are entirely unacceptable to the Ukrainian side.
