Since the widespread invasion by the Russian Federation, within the scope of defensive assistance, the Czech Republic has transferred military equipment from its army reserves to Ukraine, totaling over 6 billion Czech crowns or 240 million euros.
This was reported by Radio Prague International.
Today, the Ministry of Defense of the Czech Republic has released a list indicating that among the equipment transferred to the Ukrainian Armed Forces are tanks, infantry fighting vehicles, and self-propelled artillery of Soviet manufacture, as well as modern weaponry, including aviation equipment. Previously, the list of arms and ammunition transferred by Prague had not been disclosed.
This list includes, among other things:
- Four Mi-24 Hind helicopters manufactured in 2005 and 2006,
- 62 tanks produced in 1968, 1977, 1985-1989, and 1993,
- 13 self-propelled howitzers manufactured between 1980-1986,
- 131 infantry fighting vehicles made between 1973-1989, as well as in 1993 and 1999,
- 4.2 million rounds of small arms ammunition,
- 128 mortars from 1971-79, • 17,400 mortar shells.
The list also specifies other types and samples of defensive aid, as well as bandaging materials, medical supplies, and medications. It is clarified that such supplies were sent to the Ukrainian side from February 2022 to October 2023.
It’s worth reminding that on Friday, November 10, the Czech Republic and Taiwan signed an agreement for collaborative efforts in the reconstruction of Ukraine. Roy Lee, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Taiwan, stated that the assistance would be expanded into other areas to facilitate the restoration of normal life in Ukraine as it approaches a final victory.
