Ukraine Simplifies Rules for Importing Radar Complexes for the Army The Verkhovna Rada has supported the draft law on exemption from VAT and customs duties for the import of EW (Electronic Warfare) and radar complexes for the army, approving it as a whole.

This was reported by Ukrainian MP Yaroslav Zheleznyak.

A total of 323 deputies voted in favor of the corresponding draft law No. 10341. As stated, this draft law provides for the exemption from VAT during wartime for radar devices crucial for defense structures.

Taxation will not apply to goods received by the Defense Forces, the Ministry of Defense, and law enforcement agencies. MP Iryna Herashchenko added that this pertains not only to imported radar devices but also those manufactured in Ukraine.

It was also previously reported that Ukraine is increasing the production of kamikaze drones and plans to manufacture 155mm ammunition domestically to cover the gap between demand and assistance provided by partners. Regarding artillery ammunition, this issue will continue to arise. Therefore, Ukraine has decided to address these matters by establishing a robust UAV (Unmanned Aerial Vehicle) production.
