At night on December 22, Russian aggressors attacked Ukraine with 28 "Shahed" combat drones. Air defense shot down 24 of them.
As reported by the Air Force, the Russians carried out the “Shahed” attack from the areas of Kursk, Primorsko-Akhtarsk (Russian Federation), and Chauda (Crimea).
As a result of the air defense operations, 24 “Shahed” drones were successfully shot down within the territories of Kyiv, Odesa, Mykolaiv, Kherson, Zhytomyr, Rivne, and Khmelnytskyi regions.
To repel the aerial attack, aviation, anti-aircraft missile units, and mobile air defense groups of the Air Force and Defense Forces of Ukraine were engaged.
Recall that on the evening of December 21, explosions occurred in Kyiv due to a Russian “Shahed” drone attack. Debris fell on residential buildings in several areas, leading to fires.
