In the Kyiv Region, the russian invaders destroyed and damaged about 26,000 objects.

The head of Kyiv Regional Military Administration, Oleksiy Kuleba, announced this in an interview with the “RBK-Ukraine”.

“We have approximately 26,000 of damaged objects in total. If sort by categories, 12,500 private houses were partially damaged, and approximately 5,000 were destroyed. Among high-story residential buildings, 975 were partially damaged, approximately 170 were totally destroyed,” Kuleba said. He added that four schools were destroyed, 91 schools were partially damaged, six kindergartens were totally destroyed, and 51 kindergartens were partially destroyed.

“In addition, today we have information that 78 medical institutions have been partially destroyed, two hospitals have been totally destroyed. These are the main numbers that are needed to understand the scale,” Kuleba explained.

According to the head of the Kyiv Regional Military Administration, it is still too early to talk about the specific amounts in which the damages are estimated, as the counting of the destruction is still ongoing. Currently, the government has allocated UAH 400 million for current restorations, these works are already underway, and the regional administration is constantly negotiating with various state institutions regarding the next tranche of funds for restoration. In addition, there have already been several public statements from international partners about assistance in the restoration of the Kyiv region.
