During the night, Russian forces launched rockets at Mironohrad, Donetsk Oblast. As a result of the strike, 6 individuals were injured, including children.
This was reported by the head of Donetsk Regional State Administration, Dmytro Filashkin.
“During the night, Russians targeted Mironohrad—6 people were injured, including 2 children. All the wounded have received necessary medical assistance, and one person has been taken to the hospital—the rest do not require hospitalization”, he noted.
At midnight on January 26, 2024, the Russian army fired two rockets at the city of Mironohrad, with residential areas at the epicenter of the explosions.
Six local residents were injured as a result of the hostile attack: three men aged 25, 40, and 49, a 37-year-old woman, and her 16-year-old daughter. An 8-year-old girl also suffered injuries.
It is reported that the rocket destroyed an administrative building, damaged seven 5-story buildings, a store, an enterprise, a school, and 29 cars. Numerous private houses were also damaged—exact figures are still being determined.
The General Prosecutor’s Office has initiated an investigation into the crime. Law enforcement agencies are determining the type of munition used by the Russian occupiers.
In total, Russians shelled populated areas in Donetsk Oblast 8 times within a day, destroying private houses, administrative buildings, a hospital, and a store. Ninety-five people, including 26 children, were evacuated from the front line.
