These are ballistic missiles of the Hwasong-11 type (KN-23/24), manufactured on the territory of North Korea. Occupiers have fired over 20 North Korean strike weapons across Ukraine.

This was reported by the SSU.

As a result of enemy “arrivals”, at least 24 civilians were killed, and over 100 more sustained serious injuries.

One of the first instances of the use of North Korean ballistic missiles was recorded on December 30, 2023, during the shelling of Zaporizhzhia. The next strike with North Korean rockets was carried out at the beginning of January this year on a multi-story building in Kyiv.

At that time, 4 residents of the capital were killed, and over 50 were in critical condition. In addition, the invaders struck North Korean ballistic missiles at residential buildings in five frontline settlements in the Donetsk region, resulting in the deaths of 17 civilians.

The occupiers also launched North Korean rockets at private homes of Kharkiv residents, killing three civilians. Over 60 Kharkiv residents were injured. White House National Security Council Coordinator John Kirby said that Russia purchased ballistic missiles from North Korea, which have already been used to strike Ukraine.

Such weapons were used, in particular, during the attack on Kharkiv on January 2, 2024.
