The International Criminal Court (ICC) in The Hague has issued arrest warrants for the commander of Russia's long-range aviation, Sergey Kobylash, and the chief of the Russian Black Sea Fleet, Viktor Sokolov.

As stated, the decision was approved as part of an investigation into potential war crimes committed by Russian occupiers on the territory of Ukraine, at least during the period from October 10, 2022, to March 9, 2023.

“The Pre-Trial Chamber II found that there are reasonable grounds to believe that both suspects are responsible for missile strikes carried out by forces under their command on objects of Ukraine’s electrical infrastructure during the specified period”, the website said.

The International Criminal Court issued both arrest warrants based on requests submitted by the prosecution.
