President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky signed a law on ethical lobbying on Tuesday, March 12.
This is evidenced by the card of draft law No. 10337.
It is noted that this is one of the European integration requirements for Ukraine within the negotiations for future accession to the European Union.
The law establishes terminology, rights, duties, and methods of lobbying, creates a Transparency Register to be formed by the National Agency for Prevention of Corruption.
People’s Deputy Yaroslav Zheleznyak explained that it will come into force two months after the start of the functioning of the Transparency Register, but no later than January 1, 2025.
“This was a very important commitment for our European integration”, he said.
This law will regulate the activities of lobbyists and promote transparency and accountability in public administration.
