Overall, only a few libraries remain intact in the occupied territory. Practically, more than 200 thousand books in these libraries have already been destroyed, burned, or rendered unusable.
Deputy Head of the Kherson Regional State Administration, Volodymyr Klyutsevskyi, revealed this information during an interview on KYIV24.

Literally yesterday, I visited two houses of culture and entered those libraries where books were burned. They are no longer suitable for use”, he said.
Klyutsevskyi emphasized that only a few libraries remain intact at present, prompting them to initiate a book collection campaign to preserve what remains.
