In Kharkiv, sixteen deceased individuals have been identified following a Russian strike. The whereabouts of two more people remain unknown.
This information was shared by Bohdan Tkachuk, a deputy of the Kharkiv City Council, in a broadcast on KYIV24.
“The process of clearing the debris in Kharkiv is being complicated by frequent air raid alerts. Additionally, we are still searching for the missing. As of now, 18 people are known to be involved, with 16 identified as deceased,” he said.
He added that the fate of the other two people is still unknown.
“This does not include those who are injured and currently in hospitals or who received assistance on site”, he added.
The Strike on the Hypermarket in Kharkiv on May 25:
On Saturday, May 25, Russian terrorists shelled Kharkiv multiple times. Around 4:00 PM, explosions were heard in the city, and later it was reported that the occupiers had struck the “Epicenter” hypermarket.
At the time of the attack, there were many people in the “Epicenter.” The strike caused a massive fire. It was reported that employees of the hypermarket were killed in the shelling, and more than ten staff members were out of contact.
