A separate green island was created in the Kyiv Zoo for a family of 6 capuchin monkeys. This is reported by CE “Kyiv Zoo”.

In the KyivZoo, on the island with an area of 250 square meters without fences, large trees over 10 meters in height grow. Special wooden structures for jumping and walking are fixed between them. So now 25-year-old Persimmon, together with his friends Nyube, Silk, Eldorado, Chuchka and Zhuchka, can live in this large natural oasis.

The monkeys have an observation bridge over the lake and a wooden mushroom shelter from the heat and rain. And for them to taste their favorite food, 4 platforms for “picnics” have been built.

The island for capuchins was created by zoo workers. You can see this green island in the lower park of the Kyiv Zoo.

There you can also meet two rescued hussar monkeys, Rene and Sophie, who arrived in March from the destroyed private zoo in Yasnohorodka. The animals were stressed. However, now the monkeys have settled in their enclosure and lead an active lifestyle.
