A charity bike race was held in Kyiv in support of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and prisoners of war in Azovstal.
This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
More than five hundred rescuers, policemen, sportsmen, families of war prisoners and simply cycling lovers took part in a charity bike race in support of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and prisoners of war in Azovstal.
The main goal of the sports event is to support the families of prisoners of war and raise funds for the Armed Forces.
The participants started from the Kyiv bicycle track and covered a distance of 10 kilometers through the city center. There were no age limits: the youngest participant in the bice race – 10-month-old Gordiy, who took part in the event together with his father. The oldest – 64-year-old Viktor from Kyiv.
Almost UAH 180,000 has been raised. These funds will be donated for the needs of the Armed Forces.
The bike race was initiated and organized by the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in cooperation with Veloden Kyiv public organization, the city authorities, and the Patrol Police.
