The most critical situation in Kherson is observed in the Korabel microdistrict, where the water has risen to three meters.
This was reported on the air of “KYIV24” by Sergіy Khlan’, a deputy of the Kherson Regional Council.
“The most critical situation in Kherson is in the Korabel microdistrict. It is called Ostriv by the locals. The water has risen to three meters there. It is the most flooded area that is now underwater. Flooding is also ongoing in the area of the river port, where several streets have been flooded. The village of Antonivka has also been flooded. Most of the city of Kherson is situated at higher elevations. It can be said that 20% of the city is flooded”, Khlan’ reported.
Recall that on the night of June 6, the Russians detonated the Kakhovka Hydroelectric Power Station. As a result, massive flooding occurred in cities and villages in the Kherson region, including the regional center – the city of Kherson. Evacuation is underway in the flooded areas. The scale of the consequences of this crime committed by the Russian occupiers is difficult to assess at the moment.
