Boris Johnson visited the capital several times: in peacetime and during Ukraine's struggle against its russian aggressor.
As the decision by the Kyiv City Council goes, the title was awarded for supporting the Ukrainian people to resist the russian federation’s military aggression against Ukraine, as well as providing humanitarian, military and equipment, and other types of aid to Ukraine and its capital.
