The Prime Minister of Great Britain, Rishi Sunak, announced the allocation of the largest aid package to Ukraine since the start of the full-scale war with Russia. Its value is £2.5 billion.

The British Prime Minister announced this during a visit to Kyiv, as reported by RBC-Ukraine.

“We are one of the staunchest supporters of Ukraine, especially when it comes to providing military assistance. I am pleased to be here today to announce the increase in the aid we are providing”, said Sunak.

According to him, the assistance that London has already provided is intended until the beginning of this year. Therefore, the leadership of Great Britain is now allocating the largest aid package to Ukraine since the beginning of the war, amounting to £2.5 billion.

“This means more security, more anti-tank weapons, more rockets, hundreds of thousands of artillery shells, and the training of thousands of Ukrainian soldiers”, explained the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom.

He added that an additional £200 million will be allocated for the production of hundreds of thousands of new drones.

“This will be the largest assistance among any other countries. In total, Britain has provided assistance to Ukraine amounting to £12 billion”, he said.

He noted that the increase in military aid reflects the seriousness of the situation and Britain’s determination to support Ukraine. Recall that today, January 12, the Prime Minister of Great Britain, Rishi Sunak, arrived in Kyiv. He has already signed an agreement on cooperation with Ukraine in the field of security, which the government of Great Britain has called historic. Under this agreement, London will exchange intelligence with Kyiv, assist with cybersecurity, military training, and strengthen defense-industrial cooperation.
