British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak arrived in Kyiv on January 12. He will meet with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and sign a cooperation agreement in the field of security.
The initial images of Sunak and his visiting delegation were shown by the American photo agency Getty Images. The pictures reveal Sunak, the UK Defence Secretary Grant Shapps, and the Deputy Chief of the Defence Staff Gwen Jenkins traveling to Kyiv in a VIP carriage.
Later, a photograph was released of the British Prime Minister disembarking from the presidential train at Kyiv’s Central Railway Station.
Earlier, the UK government’s website announced that Sunak would unveil a new significant support package for Ukraine during his visit to Kyiv. This support is intended to reaffirm the close partnership between the two countries.
It is also expected that Sunak will meet with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and sign a cooperation agreement in the field of security. This agreement includes provisions for intelligence exchange, cybersecurity, medical and military training, as well as defense-industry cooperation.
