AMCU has fined Kyivtransparkservice for excessive cost for car parking in Kyiv, so within two months the company will be forced to reduce cost.
This was reported by the press service of the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine.
According to the case materials, from March 2021 to January 2022, Kyivtransparkservice had a monopoly position on the market for providing services for the use of municipal parking lots in the capital.
In the planned calculation of the cost of its services, the utility company included the following cost items: “arrangement of parking with check-in pockets” and “mandatory payments of 60%”. However, all parking lots of Kyivtransparkservice must be equipped at the expense of the utility company.
Kyivtransparkservice submitted the calculations to the city administration, and based on them, a new tariff for parking in the capital was approved. The approval of this decision increased the parking cost in Kyiv by 60% – 82.3%.
Based on the results of the case review, the AMCU obliged Kyivtransparkservice and Kyiv City State Administration to eliminate the violations within a two-month period.
As already reported, on August 8, Kyiv temporarily canceled the fee for parking cars in municipal parking lots. On August 12, the Court of Appeal confirmed the illegality of paid parking in the center of Kyiv.
