British military intelligence has evidence of China supplying weapons to Russia.

This statement was made by British Defense Minister Grant Shapps, as reported by Reuters.

“Russia and China are collaborating in the field of combat equipment for use in Ukraine… Lethal aid is coming from China to Russia, and then to Ukraine”, Shapps said.

According to him, lethal weaponry assistance “is already being sent or will be sent from China to Russia”, and subsequently to the battlefield in Ukraine.

Additionally, the two countries are cooperating in the development of combat equipment to be used against Ukraine. The minister noted that this is a significant development, considering that China denies providing military assistance to Russia. The increase in trade between the countries since the full-scale invasion indicates that they are covering for each other.

China has repeatedly denied allegations of supplying weapons to Russia. In an interview with the BBC during his visit to Beijing last month, U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken stated that China is a major contributor to supporting Russia’s defense-industrial base.

Today, Russia has reached a historical peak in weapons production, according to the head of the U.S. State Department. At the same time, the American official suggested the possibility of expanding Washington’s sanctions against Beijing for assisting Moscow.

On April 25, the Secretary of State arrived in China to discuss urgent issues of military support for Russia by the PRC, as well as the threat of new sanctions.
