The State Film Agency of Ukraine declares that after the reorganization, the Dovzhenko Center will continue to operate as a cultural and museum center.
This is stated in the press service of the department.
“The film archive is not destroyed, the premises of the center are not given to the developer, the employees of the center are not fired. Let’s hear each other. There will be no demolition or construction of the Dovzhenka Center. The center will continue to function as a cultural and museum center. There will be no liquidation of the Dovzhenka Center,” the message reads.
Derzhkino notes that after the reorganization of the enterprise, three independent legal entities will be formed, and all employees will be able to get a job in one of these organizations in their similar positions.
Three specialized state institutions will be formed: the state enterprise “Ukrainian Animation Studio”, the state institution “Scientific Center of Cinematography of Ukraine”, as well as the state enterprise “National Center of Oleksandr Dovzhenko”.
“Which remains in its building, at its address, with all other, except those separated into the two mentioned enterprises, functions and tasks provided for by the statute. The Dovzhenka Center will continue the development of the museum business and film culture and will continue to be one of the favorite centers of attraction of the film-loving community,” Derzhkino declares.
As reported earlier, Dovzhenko-Center stated that the decision of State Cinema to liquidate it will be a reputational damage to the international image of Ukraine.
