On the morning of May 3, Russian forces began massive shelling of the city of Kherson and populated areas in the region. 17 people were killed on the right-bank Kherson region, including 13 in Kherson itself. Another 22 people were injured.

This was reported by the Office of the Prosecutor General.

As of 16:30, 12 people had been killed in the regional center, and 22 injured. At the same time, during the day, a brigade of energy workers came under enemy fire between the villages of Stepivka and Muzikivka. Three workers of the energy company were killed from the injuries sustained.

At 17:58, the head of the Kherson Regional State Administration, Oleksandr Prokudin, reported that Russia continues its artillery attack – one more person was killed, and four were injured. He asked the residents of Kherson not to leave their homes at least until morning due to Russian shelling.

It should be reminded that today, Russian occupiers hit a car of the passenger train “Kherson-Lviv”, which stopped at the Kherson station. The conductor of the train was injured by fragments.
