As a result of this attack, critical infrastructure facilities in the city were switched to backup power

This was reported by Oleksiy Drozdenko, the head of the Sumy City Military Administration.

Around midnight, the Russian Federation carried out airstrikes on energy facilities in the Sumy region. Drozdenko stated that water supply and hospitals were fully operational on backup power.

Restoration work on the power grid began at 02:21, with a gradual return of electricity promised.

It’s worth noting that yesterday, on Easter Sunday, Russians launched a massive attack on the Kharkiv region, resulting in approximately 15 casualties and damage to private homes. During the attack on the Kupiansk district, one person was killed.

The Russians also attacked the Pokrovsky district of the Donetsk region, dropping explosives on a civilian vehicle using a drone. Three individuals in the vehicle at the time of the shelling sustained injuries of varying severity.

Additionally, in the morning, Russians fired four cassette rockets from the BM-30 Smerch multiple rocket launcher system and one high-explosive projectile at the territory of the Sloviansk Thermal Power Plant.
