Overnight, Ukrainian air defense forces shot down 13 out of 17 attack drones "Shahed-136/131" launched by Russia.
This information was reported by the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
“On the night of July 3, 2023, Russian occupying forces carried out another attack with Iranian attack drones ‘Shahed-136/131’ from the southeast direction. A total of 17 launches of ‘Shahed’ drones were recorded,” the statement said.
Air defense systems were active in the southern, eastern, and central regions. As a result of air defense operations conducted by the Air Force in collaboration with other components of Ukraine’s defense forces, 13 “Shahed-136/131” attack drones were destroyed. The remaining drones did not achieve their targets. Preliminary reports indicate no losses on the Ukrainian side.
During the past 24 hours, the Air Force conducted dozens of sorties, with 15 of them focused on targeting enemy objects, equipment, logistics, and personnel.
As previously reported, explosions were heard during an air raid alarm in the Khmelnytskyi region. Military officials have confirmed the operation of air defense systems.
